Tributes are being paid to a teenage rugby player found dead in a lake in France while on a tour of the country.
The young British sportsman, named as 16-year-old Harry Sykes, was away with the Halifax Elite Rugby Academy.
Reports state his body was discovered late on Wednesday after he went missing near Cavayere Lake.
Mr Sykes has been described as a “truly kind, honest and committed young man”.
The Rugby Football League’s chief executive, Ralph Rimmer, said he was “extremely saddened by the tragic news”.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Harry’s family, friends and teammates at this sad time,” he added.
