In his career, Lomu scored eight tries against England.




17. Hall Of Fame

Lomu was inducted into the International Rugby Hall of Fame on 9 October 2007, and the IRB Hall of Fame on 24 October 2011.


18. Road names after him

The late great All Blacks rugby left-winger Jonah Lomu has had a street named after him. The road, Jonah Lomu Drive, was opened at a ceremony in March 2018 attended by his family members. 


19. Series incoming…

An upcoming miniseries about Jonah Lomu has cast aspiring Tongan actor Mosese Veaila to fill the boots of the rugby superstar in December 2018. Simply titled Jonah, the project received $5.4 million in taxpayer funding from NZ on Air. 



20. Olympics

The former sevens player was a key figure in rugby finally being added to the Olympic line-up – and in an interview described ‘helping take rugby to the Olympic Games’ as one of his greatest achievements.
