Centre Mathieu Bastareaud will start in France’s midfield against Italy in the Six Nations after completing his three-week ban for a homophobic slur.
The 29-year-old Toulon back verbally abused Benetton flanker Sebastian Negri in a Champions Cup tie in January.
And former England international Andy Goode, who was very critical of Bastareaud on that occasion, fired another shot on Twitter last night regarding the players weight.
If he can still play international rugby, I can!! pic.twitter.com/oELnW2khMs

But not everyone agreed with Goode with a number of very annoyed Frenchman rfiring back at his tweet:
you miss a brain and the physical, and Bastareaud is strong

That is a disgrace he isn’t an international rugby player in that mess surely. Shape like a melted wheelie bin

Do you feel that lonely to need light on you ? Not sure that it will help you. How to lose rugby value. Just get back on the field then we ll talk. Easy behind a screen.

J’ai tellement envie que Bastaraud sorte le match de sa vie contre les anglais, juste pour qu’Andy Goode ferme sa bouche. pic.twitter.com/EU69fuAo4b
