Every team has their unsung heroes.

Some players naturally grab the headlines but the Premiership is also filled with lesser-known stars who play important roles with their teams.

So, here at RUCK, we want to celebrate the often-unrecognised men around the English top-flight.

Bath Rugby – Tom Homer

The fullback joined Bath Rugby in February 2015 from London Irish. Homer has been equally prolific with the boot in Bath colours when called upon.


Exeter Chiefs – James Short

Keen to get his career back on track after a disappointing spell at London Irish, the speedy winger has enjoyed a stellar first few seasons in Devon. His tally of 26 tries in just 49 appearances at the end of last season showcase how much he has relished his role for the Chiefs, but his finishing prowess has also made him one of the most dangerous attackers in the Aviva Premiership.


Gloucester – Tom Savage

Tom captained the club in the 2013-14 season, and his experience and versatility have seen him as one of the first names on the teamsheet for the Cherry and Whites since.


Harlequins – Tim Visser

The Netherlands-born Scotland back, 30, joined the club from Edinburgh in 2015 and will stay until 2020. He has scored 28 tries in 53 Harlequins appearances and has won 33 Scotland caps, the most recent coming in June.
