Bath are set to be down to the bare bones at fly-half when rugby returns with Rhys Priestland being their only senior number 10.
The black, blue and whites have been trying to sign a top-class playmaker since last December, but have so far not been able to get anything over the line.
He is backed up by the experienced fiji international Josh Matavesi, who is more regularly found at centre, along with youngster Tom de Glanville.
Here are five playmakers they’ve either been linked with or who might be available for them to go after.
1. Handre Pollard
The black, blue and whites are weighing up a huge move for the World Cup-winning fly-half, according to reports in England, France, South Africa. Pollard is currently at the centre of a salary cap scandal in the Top 14 with Montpellier, and could soon be on the move once again. Th 25-year-old has 48 caps, scoring 457 points and has established himself as the Boks’ first-choice ten.
