Ben Ryan, who masterminded Fiji’s triumph at the Rio Olympics 12 months ago, is being lined up for a role in the French sevens set-up, revealed the Daily Telegraph.
Since Fiji beat Team Great Britain 43-7 in the final of the inaugural sevens event, Ryan has been inundated with offers from all over the globe for his services.
A head coach role at Edinburgh was turned down, Hollywood has come calling and several high-profile sporting teams all over the world including the New York Knicks have brought him in as a consultant.
The Daily Telegraph understands that Ryan is poised to be brought into the French sevens set-up to sparkle some of his gold-dust on Les Bleus ahead of the Sevens World Cup in San Francisco next year.
