Ben Youngs reaches 100 – England’s most-capped XV

Lock | Martin Johnson – 84: A giant of the game in more ways than one, Johnson is widely regarded as one of the greatest locks to have ever played the game. As a player, he famously led England to glory at the 2003 Rugby World Cup and also captained the British & Irish Lions in 1997 and 2001.

Lock | Courtney Lawes – 85: Lawes impressed so much with Saints and England that he was named on the 2017 British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand, winning six caps on the trip and remaining undefeated in the two Tests he played against the All Blacks. One of England’s most consistent performers.

Flanker | Joe Worsley – 78: Worsley, who played over 300 times for Wasps, won many England caps due to his versatility and received an MBE after their 2003 World Cup win. He retired at the age of 34 in 2011 due to a neck injury.

Flanker | James Haskell – 77: The 34-year-old, who played in the past two World Cups, retired prior to the 2019 showpiece after struggling with ankle and toe problems with Northampton last season. He won three Six Nations titles with England and was part of the team that won the Grand Slam in 2016 before starring in the side that whitewashed Australia on tour that summer.

Number 8 | Lawrence Dallaglio – 85: He became one of the most decorated and successful English players of all time. Emerging as a raw talent in the back row during England’s victory at the 1993 Sevens World Cup at Murrayfield, Dallaglio went on to cement his place as a hero of English rugby.
