Ireland head coach Andy Farrell says the Autumn Nations Cup opener against Wales is an opportunity for Billy Burns to prove himself on the international stage.

The Bath-born fly-half, who played eight times for England U20, is in line to make his debut from the bench in Friday’s encounter in Dublin, with Leinster winger James Lowe making his bow from the start.

1. Nick Tompkins (Wales)

Tompkins played for England at age group level and England Saxons. In January 2020 Tompkins was selected for the senior Wales 2020 Six Nations squad. He qualifies for Wales through his Wrexham-born grandmother. On 1 February 2020 Tompkins made his international debut for Wales as a first half injury replacement in the 42-0 win against Italy and scoring a try.
