Billy Vunipola and Danny Care respond to Matt Giteau’s anti-England tweet
Wallabies legend Matt Giteau has revealed he hopes England don’t win the football World Cup after social media blew up following their dramatic penalty shootout triumph against Colombia.
England looked to be set for more agony when Jordan Henderson’s penalty was saved by David Ospina but Mateus Uribe smashed the following kick on to the crossbar to pave the way for Jordan Pickford and Eric Dier to be England’s saviours.

Social media blew up following the victory and Giteau tweeted this morning: “After seeing how ppl have reacted from the quarter-finall qualifier, it’s safe to say that if England win the
#WorldCup, social media will be an incredible painful thing to watch #DontComeHome”
But England stars Billy Vunipola and Danny Care were on hand to put the Aussie in his place.
