All Blacks great Dan Carter is likely to play out his rugby career with the Kobe Kobelco Steelers in Japan, a Japanese news agency is reporting.
Media reports this week said Carter was set to sign a contract with a Japan Top League side once he completes his three-year stint in Paris with Racing 92 in June.
News agency Kyodo revealed its sources said it would be the Steelers.
If Carter did sign with the Steelers, he could link up with Andy Ellis, his regular halfback with the Crusaders, who also often played in the same All Blacks side.
Ellis has played for the Steelers for three years.
