Lawrence Dallaglio

England rugby union icon Lawrence Dallaglio is one of the most decorated stars in the sport’s history. He made his international bow against the Springboks’ in 1995 and was awarded the England Captaincy in 1997 by new coach Clive Woodward. He went onto be a key part of the 2003 England Grand Slam and World Cup-winning side, being the only player to play in every minute of England’s World Cup campaign. He announced his retirement from international rugby in 2004 but following his Lions call-up in 2005 and recovery from injury, he made himself available for England selection again at the end of that year. He went on to appear at the World Cup in 2007 before retiring at the end of the 2007/08 campaign in fairy-tale fashion when his club side Wasps triumphed over Leicester in the Guinness Premiership final.

The “Big Blonde” flanker Remy Martin isn’t just known for his trademark long hair but his ferocious tackling style and constant intensity. He represented France on the world stage between 2002 and 2009, winning 23 caps for Les Bleus, scoring three tries. He was part of France’s winning Six Nation’s team in 2006 and also represented them at the World Cup in 2007. The flanker though had to retire recently due to on-going hernia injuries.
