Anton Oliver

Anton Oliver made his All Black debut in 1996 under coach Laurie Mains and had an international career that spanned 11 years up until 2007. He amassed in total 59 Caps for his country and when he was made Skipper created the first father and son Captain combination as his father Frank Oliver led the All Blacks in 1978. After retiring from international rugby in 2007, he signed a one-year deal with Toulon before 12 months later he hung up his boots for good. The hooker then went to the University of Oxford to study a postgraduate degree.

Toulouse fullback, Alexis Palisson made his international bow for France against the Wallabies in June 2008. The 28-year old has since gone on to win 21 Test caps and was part of the France team that reached the 2011 Rugby World Cup Final against New Zealand. However, under Phillipe Saint-Andre the fullback has struggled to break into Les Bleus squad, with the new head coach preferring Clermont’s Julien Malzieu.

A former rugby union international for both Australia and Ireland, Brian Smith has also had an acclaimed coaching career. He coached at Bath and London Irish before making the jump to international rugby with England as an attack coach between 2008 and 2011.
