“Chances over” – 5 England hopefuls who had ‘nightmare’ weekends

Here, RUCK look at five players who didn’t do their hopes of a recall or place in Eddie Jones XV for their Six Nations opener against Scotland much good.

Whether they were ruled out by injury or just failed to perform – these players really did have games to forget over the weekend.

#1. Sam Underhill (Bath RFC)

Tipped by Eddie Jones for a recall earlier this week, the England international had a torrid time of it this weekend. He was back after a month out following a head knock against Gloucester on Boxing Day, but unfortunately Underhill withdrawn in the 13th minute after suffering another blow to the head when he got his technique wrong looking to make a secondary hit on Robbie Henshaw. A nightmare scenario for the 25-year-old.
