6) Israel Folau

By far the most recent entry to this list, but Folau has already made an indelible mark on his new sport.

After a scintillating three-year senior career in League which saw him score six tries in eight games for Australia alongside 73 tries in 91 Club appearances, the centre or wing took in a brief spell in Aussie Rules before the Waratahs snapped him up in 2013.

The now fullback or centre stands at six foot four and weighs in at over 16 stone, but the 26-year-old is one of the game’s most agile athletes. That combination has proven to be a fine cocktail and 18 tries in 37 appearances for the Wallabies have followed. But the New South Welshman still has his best years ahead of him, a mouth-watering prospect.
