Rugby World Cup winner Mike Tindall says Danny Cipriani must go to Japan – and claims every current England player would agree.
“I don’t think there would be any player who wouldn’t want to see Danny in that squad, and ultimately on the plane, because sometimes things don’t go to plan,” he said.
“Look at the 2015 World Cup, games where we could have done with a quick change-up through someone coming off the bench and playing completely differently. We didn’t have that option and did not last long.
“My feeling is that in a World Cup you need to be tooled for every possible scenario so, yes, Danny would be my third 10.”
