The penultimate round of the regular 2019 Gallagher Premiership Rugby season provided plenty of thrills and spills as all 12 top flight clubs battled it out to improve their position.
A weekend of highs and lows saw Northampton Saints edge nearer a top four spot, while Newcastle Falcons waved goodbye to the league after being relegated following defeat to Gloucester Rugby.
Saracens, Bath Rugby and Harlequins also enjoyed important victories and, unsurprisingly, all three clubs are well represented in David Flatman’s best XV from Round 21.
Four players from defending champions Saracens make the cut after Mark McCall’s men saw off Exeter Chiefs – last year’s beaten Twickenham finalists – 38-7 at Allianz Park.
Flats’ XV from Round 21 of Gallagher Premiership Rugby:
15. Mike Brown (Harlequins)
14. Ruaridh McConnochie (Bath)
13. Jonathan Joseph (Bath)
12. Nick Tompkins (Saracens)
11. Alex Lewington (Saracens)
10. Max Malins (Saracens)
9. Danny Care (Harlequins)
