Eddie Jones explains why James Haskell has been dropped

England head coach Eddie Jones has explained his reasoning to why stalwart back-rower James Haskell has been dropped from his latest squad.

The Wasps flanker misses the Autumn Internationals for the second year in a row after a toe injury sustained during the 2016 summer tour of Australia kept him out last year.

“At the moment he’s just not playing well enough but the door’s never shut on him,” Jones said.

“We know he’s a great player and he’s been a great servant to English rugby – close to 80 caps.
