#3. Rugby family

Hogg comes from a talented rugby family in the Borders. His father, John, played as a championship winning full-back for Hawick before becoming a rugby referee. His brother, Graham, has played for Scotland in the IRB Sevens World Series as well as representing his country at under-18, under-19 and under-20.

“I’ve always hated snakes. When I was young I went to Deep Sea World near Edinburgh and there were snakes there. I was the only one who got to touch them. Even if they’re on the telly, I’ll lift my feet off the ground and get them up on the couch.”
