England legend backs Danny Cipriani for starting spot at the World Cup

David Flatman believes Danny Cipriani is one of the best players in the world and should be starting for England at the World Cup.

The fly-half, who left Wasps to join Gloucester this summer, earned a recall to the national side for the recent Tour of South Africa.

“What do you say about Danny Cipriani? He’s a genius,” Flatman said.

“He’s the best fly-half in England, he’s one of the best rugby players in the world and Gloucester have got him at 10.

“I can’t wait to watch him.

“To be honest, I don’t really care who he plays for as long as he is in England playing so we can watch him every week.”
