England skipper Dylan Hartley ruled out with injury

England captain Dylan Hartley has given Eddie Jones an injury scare ahead of the autumn internationals.

The England captain has a hand problem and will miss Northampton’s Premiership clash with Bath on Friday.

Jones names an England squad next Friday for a three-day training camp in Oxford which begins on Sunday week.

While the knock is not thought to be too serious and Northampton say Hartley will resume training next week there are fears the skipper may not be fit in time to join up with England.

Provided there are no further issues the hooker should make the Tests against Argentina, Australia and Samoa, however, which will be played over three consecutive Saturdays starting on November 11.
