Champions England beat Scotland in convincing fashion in Doncaster to get their campaign off to the best possible start.
Five first half tries from Marlie Packer, Leanne Riley, Lark Davies , Bryony Cleal and Jess Breach, who sprinted 50 metres for a superb try, put England 33-3 up at half-time.
After the break, Helena Rowland scored England’s sixth try before Scotland centre Hannah Smith, with a dip of a shoulder, crossed the whitewash for the Scots, 40-10.
Powerhouse Poppy Cleall added the hosts seventh before a late penalty try put the icing on the cake for Simon Middleton’s women.
