England’s George Kruis ruled out as other forward returns to the squad

  • George Kruis has been ruled out of the Six Nations with a knee injury
  • The lock will undergo surgery on Tuesday, February 7
  • Mako Vunipola will join up with the England squad later this week
Saracens and England second row George Kruis has been ruled out of the 2017 Six Nations through injury.

The 26-year-old Saracens forward will have knee ligament surgery on Tuesday and will be out for up to three months.

Meanwhile, 32 players have assembled at Pennyhill Park on Sunday to train for Saturday’s Six Nations game against Wales at the Principality Stadium.

That group will include prop Mako Vunipola, who will join up with Eddie Jones’ squad this week as they prepare to face Wales on Saturday.
