England’s Red Roses Jobs Outside Rugby – Firefighter, Occupational Therapist, Personal Trainer

Most England male players are usually set for life once they make the big time, but most members of the England Women’s team have worked multiple jobs and are building for a future once they retire.

A number of the older players had to work part-time to support their careers, and England legend Sarah Hunter hopes they will be the last generation to do so.

Here is a look at the Red Roses jobs outside of rugby.

#1. Shaunagh Brown

It has been an incredible rise to international rugby for the forward, who only properly started playing the game at the age of 25 and two years later she had her first international cap.

Before rugby, she had a career in athletics, where she represented England in the hammer throw at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and a stint in boxing.

A qualified fire-fighter, she is also a former gas engineer and qualified commercial diver.
