Every Premiership Club’s Most Exciting Transfer Target

The new year means the start of the transfer deals, but who will your team sign? Here is each Premiership side’s most exciting summer target, including a number of international stars.

BATH RUGBY: Rhys Webb

The 30-year-old is in the second season of a three-year deal at Toulon but according to The Rugby Paper he has a clause that could allow him to leave next summer. Exeter Chiefs have also been linked with Webb but Bath appear to be the frontrunners.

BRISTOL BEARS: Justin Tipuric

He is reportedly weighing up a £500,000-a-year offer to move to Ashton Gate. It’s also reported that Clermont Auvergne, Toulon and Toulouse are also interested in the 73-cap world-class openside.

EXETER CHIEFS: Ross Moriarty

Ross Moriarty’s two-year contract with the Dragons expires at the end of the season and, according to The Rugby Paper, Rob Baxter has identified him as someone he’d love to bring to Sandy Park. Lyon, Montpellier and Toulon are also said to be interested in Moriarty.

GLOUCESTER: Kyle Sinckler

Wandsworth-born Sinckler, 26, has been with Quins since he was 12 after being spotted by Academy coach Collin Osborne playing in a school game. But they are struggling to agree on a new deal with the tight-head who has seen his stock rise after helping England reach the World Cup final in Japan. The Cherry and Whites lead the race for his signature while Bristol remain in the chase.

HARLEQUINS: Sam Matavesi

The Cornish Pirates hooker has been linked to Northampton Saints and Harlequins by Rugby Inside Line.

LEICESTER TIGERS: Huw Jones

According to Netwerk24, Jones would now like to leave the Warriors after falling out with the coaches and wants a move to the Gallagher Premier Premiership in 2020/21. Although he has yet to put pen to paper, Jones was poised to sign a two-year deal with the Welford Road club last season and that offer is thought to be still on the table.

LONDON IRISH: Devin Toner

The Exiles are looking to recruit the towering Ireland international when his contract at Leinster expires at the end of the season. The 33-year-old isn’t sure about the opportunity as he contemplates retirement.

NORTHAMPTON SAINTS: Alex Dombrandt

Nicknamed ‘The Dominator’ he took the Premiership by storm with HArlequins last season with his powerful running and offload game, scoring 11 tries in 24 appearances. According to The Rugby Paper he’s out of contract in the summer and Saints lead the chase.

SALE SHARKS: George Ford

There were rumours that the England fly-half has been sounded out for a move to rugby league, but it’s also believed that Sale could come back in for Ford after their bid to sign the fly-half a few years ago fell through. The Sharks, who have already have a number of world-class players like Faf de Klerk, are in the market for a quality number 10.

SARACENS:

Don’t they have enough internationals?

WASPS: Alex Lozowski

The Saracens and England centre is out of contract at the end of the season and it’s been suggested by RUCK sources that Wasps would be keen to bring him back to the Ricoh Arena.

WORCESTER WARRIORS: Ben Morgan

According to The Rugby Paper, Morgan’s name has been circulating around the Top 14. However, Worcester are also meant to be interested in the former back-rower.
