The Lions captain signed a one-year extension with the Welsh region last month, but will reportedly leave that deal early to play a season in the Japanese Top League following the 2022 Six Nations. The Rugby Paper report that there is been an offer for him to join an unnamed club, a competition where the financial rewards can be eye-wateringly high, with Beauden Barrett said to be earning more than £1.5 million over two seasons.
