Former Leicester Tigers fly-half Freddie Burns has tweeted his response to Matt O’Connor being sacked this evening.
Burns, who was a fan favourite among the Tigers faithful at Welford Road, has wished his old boss luck for the future.
He tweeted: “Really enjoyed the couple of months I spent being coached by Matt O’Connor.”

The Tigers were thrashed 40-6 by Exeter Chiefs on Saturday, and as a result, O’Connor has been relieved of his duties ‘in the best interests of moving forward’.
Assistant coach Geordan Murphy will take charge of team affairs on an interim basis.
