Harrison received his first call up to the senior England squad by coach Eddie Jones on 8 May 2016 for a three-day training squad, and made his full England debut in a match against Wales on 29 May 2016.

The centre had been a regular under Jones, but missed the 2019 Rugby World Cup following an off-field altercation with Mike Brown at England’s summer training camp in Italy. He subsequently moved to Toulon, ending any chance of him getting a recall.


5. Nathan Hughes

One of the most dominant forwards in the Gallagher Premiership, standing at 6’5” and weighing over 126kg, Hughes made his debut against South Africa in 2016.

He went onto become a regular in the next three years but fell out of favour in 2019 and hasn’t received a recall since.

Genge made his debut for his country as a replacement in a 27-13 win over Wales at Twickenham Stadium in 2016.

The prop was included in the squad for England’s 2016 touring party to Australia and won the 2016/17 Land Rover Discovery of the Year award.

He has become a regular member of England squads under Eddie Jones and was part of the squad that reached the 2019 Rugby World Cup final.

3. Elliot Daly

He celebrated his first senior start for his country with a monster left-footed penalty against South Africa in November 2016 and the following week had his maiden Test try against Fiji. 

Daly announced his return to the side in February 2017 with a huge penalty against France and that was followed up with a brilliantly-taken try with four minutes left to beat Wales in Cardiff.

The speedster went on to win selection for the 2017 British & Irish Lions in New Zealand, and started all three Tests on the left wing against the All Blacks.

He was part of the England squad that reached the 2019 Rugby World Cup final.

2. Kyle Sinckler

He won his first England cap as a replacement against South Africa in November 2016.

His Six Nations debut followed in the victory over Wales in February 2017 and his form saw him as one of four England props in the British & Irish Lions squad for New Zealand, where he was named on the bench for all three Tests – he won the penalty that led to Owen Farrell kicking the Lions to a 24-21 victory in the second Test.

The tighthead props first England start came against Ireland in the 2018 Six Nations and at the 2019 Rugby World Cup, Sinckler featured in every game as England reached the final and scored a memorable try against Australia in the quarter-final.

He made his debut against Italy in 2016 as part of a remarkable run which saw him on the winning side in 26 out of 27 games for club and country.

Utoje made three Test appearances for the British & Irish Lions against New Zealand in 2017 and was part of the squad that reached the 2019 Rugby World Cup final.
