Gatland’s Gate | 6 other wonderful things named in honour of rugby stars

Warren Gatland says he’s “humbled” to have been honoured by The Welsh Rugby Union after having a gate at the Principality Stadium named after him.

The main vehicle entrance to the stadium – Gate 4 – will now be known as “Gatland’s Gate”.null

Rugby stars are celebrated across the world for their achievements, and the ways they are honoured are becoming more interesting.

Here are six of our favourites.

1. Jonah Lomu 

The winger, one of the greatest rugby players ever to grace the game has a street named after him, the location of which is a few metres from where he grew up as a schoolboy. He had a popular series of games named after him in the late 90’s.
