Gloucester’s Charlie Sharples will have a hamstring injury assessed ahead of his testimonial game.
The Cherry and Whites play Hartpury and Scarlets next Friday at Kingsholm to mark Sharples’ testimonial year, his tenth year at the club.
The speedster went off early on in the club’s first pre-season fixture against Leinster but it is too early to know how bad it is.
And now Sharples may miss his own testimonial with the new Aviva Premiership season in mind.

“Charlie maybe got a slight hammy but the rest of the guys are just bumps and bruises, nothing serious,” said chief Johann Ackermann.
“It’s a long season ahead. I’m not a big fan of risking a player if he’s not 100 per cent fit, particularly if it’s not a knockout game and a must-win game. We’ve got the whole season left.”
