GOODBYE: Wales coach sent home for breaking rules

Wales have reportedly seen their Rugby World Cup plans thrown into disarray after assistant head coach Rob Howley was sent home from Japan.

Howley left Wales’ training camp on Monday following an alleged breach of World Rugby’s regulation six which covers anti-corruption and betting.

The WRU have moved quickly on this and Warren Gatland, along with the senior player group, have decided to turn to Stephen Jones, who will replace Howley with immediate effect.

Howley had worked alongside Wales head coach Warren Gatland since January 2008.

Wales face Georgia in Toyota in their World Cup opener on Monday.
