Harlequins coach ‘stable’ in hospital after falling from hotel window on pre-season tour

A member of staff from Premiership club Harlequins is in hospital after falling from a hotel window in Jersey early on Sunday morning.

The individual has been described as “stable”, and is expected to make a full recovery.

Harlequins’ pre-season tour to the Channel Island has been overshadowed by the incident, which occurred between 4am and 4.30am on Sunday morning at the Hotel de Normandie.

Zach Fieldsend, who was staying at the hotel with his fiancée, told the Jersey Evening Post that they had gone to assist the man after hearing a “huge thud outside at about 4-4.30am”.

Fieldsend said it appeared that the man had fallen from a second-floor window.

A spokesman for the club said: “Harlequins can confirm that a member of staff was injured in an accident on Sunday morning in Jersey.
