National League roots
Unlike the majority of internationals these days, the fullback didn’t come through as a regular in the England age-grades, making Sunday the first time he’s donned the red rose. Instead, he learnt his trade playing in the National Leagues with Cambridge RUFC on loan from Saints, scoring nine tries in 32 appearances.
