Here’s what Andy Goode thinks Leicester should do after sacking Matt O’Connor

Former Leicester fly-half Andy Goode has been reacting to the shock news that Matt O’Connor has left the club with immediate effect.

He leaves just 48 hours after Leicester lost 40-6 away at Exeter in their opening Premiership game of the season.

The Tigers missed out on a place in the Premiership play-offs for the first time in 14 seasons in May after ending the season in fifth place

Assistant coach and Leicester stalwart Geordan Murphy has been put in temporary charge.

Goode, who enjoyed two successful stints at Welford Road scoring well over 1500 points, has suggested bringing back club legend and England’s World Cup-winning captain Martin Johnson as Director of Rugby.

The popular fly-half has also backed his former teammate Murphy to take over the head coach role at the club full time.
