Former Leicester fly-half Andy Goode has been reacting to the shock news that Matt O’Connor has left the club with immediate effect.

The Tigers missed out on a place in the Premiership play-offs for the first time in 14 seasons in May after ending the season in fifth place
Assistant coach and Leicester stalwart Geordan Murphy has been put in temporary charge.
So @LeicesterTigers will be linked with many names, bring back Johno as DOR with Geordan Murphy Head Coach? Mike Ford will throw his hat into the ring but if I were the Tigers board I’d steer clear of that option

So @geordanmurphy takes over the @LeicesterTigers Head Coach role in the interim. He’s been a coach there now for years, and been successful when given the reigns, so the club should give him the rest of the season to prove he’s the man for the job full time!

Goode, who enjoyed two successful stints at Welford Road scoring well over 1500 points, has suggested bringing back club legend and England’s World Cup-winning captain Martin Johnson as Director of Rugby.
The popular fly-half has also backed his former teammate Murphy to take over the head coach role at the club full time.
