TIMELINED | How the England squad will prepare for the Rugby World Cup final

Here is how the squad are expected to prepare for the 2019 Rugby World Cup final against South Africa in Tokyo.

7-11am (10pm UK time) | BREAKFAST – The England squad have their own personal chef. On matchday, the players will be eating lean proteins with scrambled or poached eggs, steak, chicken, mushrooms, spinach, smoked salmon and avocado all available.

PREDICTION:

10am | GET UP! – This is the latest players are allowed to stay in bed as too much sleep can actually make players more lethargic.

2:15pm | Walk through – The squad gently run through defensive shape and attacking moves

2:30pm | Lunch – Time for the carbs, including pasta

3:45pm | Bus departs – The team head to the stadium

5pm | Coin toss – Owen Farrell meets Sita Kolisi and referee Jerome Garces in the tunnel to decide who kicks off

5:17pm | Pre-match nutrition – The team take on caffeine gels, energy drinks and fluids.

5:18 | Kicking practice – Owen Farrell and George Ford will head out to practice/warm-up their goal kicking.

5:22pm | On pitch warm-up – The team run through team drills, stretch and work on tactics

5:30pm | Forwards chat – The forwards gather to discuss their gameplan for the clash

5:45pm |Players head into the changing room

5:51pm | Captains team talk – Owen Farrell will get a brief chance to address his players before they head out onto the field
