Injury News: An All Black star has broken his neck
All Black Sam Cane suffered from a broken neck in this weekend’s test against the Springboks in Pretoria and will have to remain in South Africa.
The All Blacks sent out a tweet late on Sunday revealing that the loose forward will need to have an operation to repair the fracture in his neck.
He will not be able to fly back to New Zealand with the rest of the team and is expected to stay in South Africa for a week.
All Blacks doctor Tony Page said Cane suffered from a fracture in a vertebrae, but thankfully he hasn’t suffered from any nerve damage, something that could have caused long term problems.
