Injury News: England receive triple boost ahead of Calcutta Cup

Nathan Hughes and Kyle Sinckler could be involved in England’s Calcutta Cup clash in Edinburgh after successfully coming through their injury returns at The Stoop.

And there was more good news for England coach Eddie Jones as Dai Young, the Wasps director of rugby, revealed that Elliott Daly is back in training and could play against Exeter Chiefs next weekend.

Hughes played the final 25 minutes as Wasps won despite being down to 14 men for over an hour. Prop Sinckler showed no ill-effects of a hamstring problem as he played for 55 minutes.

Young said: “Nathan came through fine. He was blowing a bit and understandably so, he wasn’t on his own there.

“Elliot Daly is not too far away and hopefully he should be training the early part of the week. If he comes through that he could be available for the weekend.”
