Injury News: England star WILL miss tour of South Africa

Jonathan Joseph will miss England’s tour of South Africa in June as he requires surgery on a foot injury.

He suffered the injury to his left foot during Bath’s 41-6 loss to Saracens last Sunday and left the field on crutches.

The 26-year-old, who has won 40 caps, started three of England’s five games in this year’s Six Nations and came off the bench in the other two.

Bath director of rugby Todd Blackadder said: “JJ is going to need surgery to correct his injury. He will then need a lengthy period of time to rehabilitate.

Our medical team will work closely with him to ensure we get him back on the pitch as soon as possible.”

England play three Tests against the Springboks, starting in Johannesburg on June 9, live on Sky Sports.
