Injury News: Springbok star ruled out for four months

The Vodacom Bulls’ 39-33 win against the Sharks in Round 13 came at a cost as Lizo Gqoboka and Lood de Jager suffered long-term injuries.

De Jager left the field with a suspected pectoral injury and his scans confirmed that he tore a muscle in his chest wall. He will be on the sidelines for four months.

Gqoboka injured his toe and scans have revealed that he has torn a tendon that requires surgery. He is expected to be out for four to six months.

The rest of the squad seemed to be in good nick with all the players taking part in training ahead of the team’s departure for Argentina to face the Jaguares this weekend.
