Injury News: Wales forward ruled out for FIVE months

Wales have suffered a blow after hooker Scott Baldwin was ruled out for up to five months due to a foot injury he sustained in training.

Scarlets hooker Ryan Elias has been called into the Welsh squad for the Six Nations campaign in place of the injured Ospreys front-row, with BBC Sport Wales reporting that he requires surgery and will miss the rest of the season.

Elias, who made his international debut last summer, has won two caps, playing in both games on the 2017 tour, against Tonga and Samoa.

Baldwin was not originally named in the Wales matchday squad for this weekend’s opening Six Nations fixture against Scotland in Cardiff.
