Wasps could have been without playmaker Jimmy Gopperth for up to nine months after anterior cruciate ligament surgery.
The 35-year-old, who can play fly-half or inside centre, who was injured in a pre-season friendly against Connacht was told he’d be out for 6-9 months in August.
But Gopperth has surprisedĀ fans with his latest Instagram post.
His caption read: “I had a goal to run before Xmas…. 18/12/18. Day 117 week 16. Set goals, work hard anything is possible.”
He played 22 games last season at inside centre and stand-off.
