Ireland centre Jared Payne has been ruled out of the remainder of the British and Irish Lions tour amid an uncertain recovery period due to ongoing migraine symptoms.
The 31-year-old had been struggling with a calf problem for the majority of the Lions’ New Zealand tour – but is now suffering from constant migraines.

Payne was a late withdrawal before kick-off from the Lions’ 31-31 draw with the Hurricanes in Wellington last week, and has been unable to return to training since.
Meanwhile, Liam Williams is an injury concern after the full-back sat out the later stages of the Wednesday training session in Queenstown.
