Following a match played in stormy conditions, Wales centre Robyn Williams revealed they were forced to have cold showers after the game due to a lack of hot water.
It was after Wales suffered a 31-12 defeat against Ireland on Sunday.
“We’re all cold. It doesn’t help that we got cold showers unfortunately,” said Williams.
“We’re a tight-knit bunch, this will make us stronger, we’ll come together and we’ll go again. We’ve got a good two weeks off now to kick on and train for the French game.”
The IRFU did eventually respond, confirming they had offered the Welsh Rugby Union an apology.
The IRFU have apologised to the @WelshRugbyUnion team for an issue with the water heater in their changing room today. Every effort was made to resolve the problem & extra amenities were provided.— Irish Rugby (@IrishRugby) February 9, 2020
The IRFU would like to thank the team for their understanding & apologise again.
