Exeter Chiefs star Jack Nowell’s mental weekend, which included winning the Aviva Premiership, ended with a 200-mile taxi ride in order to meet up with the British and Irish Lions squad.
“I had a taxi booked for 7am. Times like this don’t come round often. I wasn’t going to miss any of it.” said Nowell.

The winger, who is a local boy to the club, touched down a crucial try in their 23-20 win against Wasps at Twickenham.
Nowell then dashed back to Exeter to celebrate the club’s first ever Premiership title, before heading straight back to London the following morning for £463.
The 24-year-old then flew out to New Zealand on Monday as part of the Lion’s touring squad to New Zealand.
