Prop: Rob Evans (Wales): Wales even got on top at the scrum with Evans relishing the contest. He may be the squad’s resident comedian but was deadly serious on the pitch as he made his presence felt in the loose to help stop the Pumas on the gainline.
Hooker: Joe Taufete’e (USA): The Worcester hooker scored two well taken tries as the USA recorded a historic triumph.
My boy right here man! 🤙🏾 Great to get back on the field again with you but this time on the other side! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Great W from team USA baby! See you back in England my bro! #usarugby #DavidDenton aka #Loki and not Thor 😂 #History #Blessed #TYJ #GTG @dentweezy pic.twitter.com/XPAlP93P4w

Prop: Tadhg Furlong (Ireland): A full-on shift from the big man who won the official Man of the Match award. It was hard to argue with his selection, as he scored his first international try and caused Australia all sorts of problems.

Lock: Cory Hill (Wales): Wales were beautifully balanced at lock as they showed there’s life after Alun Wyn Jones. Skipper Hill got through so much donkey work and coach Warren Gatland has a welcome headache when it comes to selection next season with strength in depth building.
Lock: Devin Toner (Ireland): Far from perfect as he was guilty of a little ill-discipline, but he continued his strong end of season form into this Test, with an abrasive, hard-working effort.
Flanker: Ellis Jenkins (Wales): Such a fierce competitor and natural leader, being out of position at blindside flanker didn’t make any difference to the way he played as Wales got the better of the breakdown.
After rising to the challenge of their second Test against Argentina, flanker Ellis Jenkins says Wales are well-placed for the 2019 World Cup in Japan.

Flanker: Jake Polledri (Italy): The Gloucester flanker scored his first international try to help Italy secure a narrow victory over Japan. Polledri, winning just his third cap for his country, powered his way over for their third try in the 44th minute to put his side 19-3 ahead at the Noevir Stadium in Kobe.

Number 8: Duane Vermuelon (South Africa): Near-sensational for a second week on the trot, and in a second high-altitude game, which only underlined that the gnarly veteran still has the stamina and competitive juices (and then some) for Test rugby. Superb, supplementary leadership figure, devastating ball-carrier and earnest breakdown scrapper.
