5. Alex Goode
In 2019, Goode should have spent all summer basking in the glory of his most successful season to date: a Champions Cup and Gallagher Premiership double with Saracens, as well as the European Player of the Year gong.
The fullback was not included in England’s 31-man squad for the World Cup in Japan, nor was he included in the wider training squad that was named in June. How Goode won just 25 caps is baffling.
