There have been 835 Lions dating all the way back to 1888. Jack Anderton of Salford was the first and Racing 92’s Finn Russell is the latest, but we’re going to look at the players who didn’t make the cut.

Cipriani’s skill-set is so complete. He poses an attacking threat with ball in hand and has a superb kicking game and world-class distribution. Off the field issues mixed with bad luck meant he was never really considered despite his incredible talent.
