The future King attended the tour of New Zealand in 2005, and cheered on the squad in all three tests. William, who is second in line to the throne, met Greenwood, Brian O’Driscoll, Gareth Thomas and Gordon Bulloch – representatives for each of the four Lions international teams – in the lobby of the squad’s hotel in Wellington.
