Six excellent players who struggled in the opening weekend of the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan. They’ll certainly have better days!
1. Finn Russell (Scotland)
Worked hard to try to get Scotland moving against Ireland and offered little kicks over for Hogg to run on to. But it was largely ineffective from one of the team’s creative minds.
I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it. Finn Russell is a liability.— Phillip jewell (@bigfilljewell) September 22, 2019
2. Willie le Roux (South Africa)
It was certainly a performance below his standards. The full-back was horrendous under the high ball and failed to prove a threat on attack.
