#2. Chris Ashton

In October 2016, Ashton left Saracens 2017 to join Toulon in the Top 14. His single season in France was an outstanding success but would result in Eddie Jones wanting Ashton to return to the Premiership to make him eligiable for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

This led to the speedster wanting out. Now regretting his long-term contract he was lucky Sale Sharks bought him out of his deal and give him a chance to reignite his international career.

On 3 July 2018, it was confirmed that Ashton was to return to his native country, with the 31-year-old scoring a hat-trick on his debut for the Salford based club before securing his recall to the England squad for the 2018 Autumn Internationals.
