2. André Esterhuizen (Harlequins)
After failing with bids to sign superstars Dan Carter and Pieter Steph du-Toit earlier in the year, the 26-year-old Springbok has arrived as an uninspiring marquee addition. His delayed debut seems to have massively disrupted his start to life at Quins with two underwhelming performances thus far.
The centre has struggled to get near the ball, and when he has, you never know what’s going to happen in the worst sort of way. Despite clearly being a quality player in brief bursts, and I mean brief, we need to see him used more effectively by a Quins backline more often interested in kicking the ball away.
